In 1916 the poet Aggelos Sikelianos with his first spouse, the American woman Eva Palmer, completed the manufacture of his villa his property in Sikia in Korinthia. The building with the unique architecture was bought in the late 50s by the shipowner Spyros Typaldos. Around the Sikelianos Villa and the neighbouring of Xylokastro the Greek shipowner created the first organized tourist enterprise in Greece and in combination with his coastal company, he played a leading part in the growth of the Greek tourist industry

In its current form SIKYON BEACH is a hotel group of bungalows and building installations on the magnificent Corinthian beach, which borders on the pinewoods of Xylokastro. It is only 117 km away from Athens, 140 km from the International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”and 100 km from Patras.
